I’m Edward Vergel. Software Engineer and Blockchain Developer, interested in system design.

I'm passionate about technology, software systems and innovation.

Officially, I created my first program when I was in school back in 2016. It was the classic "Hello World :D" program in Java.

With over 4 years of experience as a developer, I have had the opportunity to work in both web3 and web2 companies. My journey began at a software factory company in Caracas, Venezuela. Following this, I joined NEAR Protocol as a Developer in Residence, where I worked on developing various DApps, ranging from NFT marketplaces to crowdfunding systems. In my most recent role, I assumed the responsibility of leading development teams to craft innovative distributed systems that seamlessly integrate blockchain with traditional systems. Additionally, I actively contributed to open source projects, such as EthersJS, by reporting bugs, and participated in NEAR protocol events like the Stake Wars.

Learning something new every day, expanding my limits, thinking outside the box, and finding ways to create innovative solutions for existing challenges.
